Dolphin Energy Qatar has awarded seven locally-based contractors with recognition awards for their sustained commitment to improving effective communication strategies and enhancing overall standards across health, safety and the environment (HSE). The event was held at Sheraton Doha recently.
The awards were distributed at Dolphin Energy’s sixth annual HSE Contractors’ Meeting, which was held under the theme “Near-miss reporting and sharing lessons learned”.
Descon, Madina, EMCO, BLACKCAT Engineering, Teyseer, Kaefer and Qatar Star were the contractor companies that received the awards.
The meeting was presided over by Dolphin Energy Qatar general manager Adel Ahmed Albuainain, along with members of Dolphin Energy’s senior management team - Ibrahim Jeham al-Kuwari, deputy general manager; Hassan al-Emadi, vice-president (Qatar operations); Ali al-Rahbi, vice-president, QHSE&S; Jassim al-Malki, HSE&S manager,
Qatar; and Ajlan Eid al-Enazi, deputy vice-president (public relations).
Commenting on the event, Albuainain said: “With the risks and challenges associated with the energy industry, core focus is placed on sustaining HSE excellence. Our contractors are aware of our commitments in this critical area and play a vital role by contributing innovative ideas to further enhance HSE performance and strengthen the safety culture across Dolphin Energy.”
